Our holidays in The Western Algarve are based at Hotel Ancora Park in a quiet area of Porto De Mos just outside Lagos

within a few minutes walk to the coastal path near Ponte de Peidade meaning that the beaches of Praia Dona Ana, Camilo

and Porto De Mos are all nearby. In the historic town of Lagos, there is a marina and plenty of historic tiled buildings and

churches in the cobbled streets. The beautiful beach and coastline of Praia Da Luz is just minutes away where there are

traditional buildings, churches and a fort. The traditional fishing village of Burgau is just around the corner and Lagos is only

15 minutes from the hotel. There are many little villages not far from the hotel including Budens, Barao sao Joao and the

historic village of Pedralva. Cape St Vincent and the west coast are also within reach so there is a wealth of painting

locations with plenty of variety.

Holiday Details

Arrival Date - Please see transfer options on the Transport Page for this destination. Please do not book your flights until advised to do so. Also, please call for details/advice and pick-up times before booking your flight or train ticket.  

Deposit - The deposit is £350 per person.

Painting Course - There will be 5 days tuition plus one day off.

We will leave the hotel at 9.30am each morning, have lunch around 1pm and finish at 4.30pm each day.

On the day off you are free to relax or come on the excursion, which is optional and is included in the price. You are free to paint of course on the day off, if you wish, but there will be no tuition.

Departure Date - On the departure date all guests will be taken to the airport/station at set times to suit the relevant flights.

What’s included?

Prices are inclusive of 5 days tuition, airport transfers, transport whilst out painting, 7 nights accommodation, continental breakfast, lunches, soft drinks, 3 course evening meals and wine with evening meals.

Prices exclude art materials, flights and travel insurance.

You need to ensure that you have sufficient travel insurance for ALL holidays with us including the UK, Jersey & the EU. We cannot be held responsible for any guest not having sufficient travel insurance for their requirements.

If a non-painting partner requires car hire we can arrange this direct with a local company.

Art Materials available at an extra charge

For a small additional charge you can have all Art Materials provided for use only on your holiday. Please see Key Details above for more information on pricing and what is included for each medium.

Art Equipment is available and included in the price for all guests such as Easels, Chairs and Boards but please indicate on your booking form if you require these so that we can make sure we have enough available.
