Sebastian Rodriguez is a Gibraltarian artist who primarily paints from life

(en plein air). He paints landscapes, portraiture and life drawing with

passion in oils

Teaching is a fundamental part of Seb's practice and locally he teaches a

"Draw From Life" course at the Gibraltar College which is going into its

tenth term and has taught plein air work shops around Gibraltar and

Spain.

Seb's background is varied. He graduated from The University of Reading

in 2003. Art has always been a significant part of his life. He has spent

time as a musician and has worked in forensic mental health in London.

For the last decade, Seb has operated from Face Frames Gallery, a

Gibraltar based Fine Art Gallery and Bespoke Picture Framing shop.

Face Frames Gallery coordinated Gibraltar's first International Women's day Art exhibition and has hosted artists from

The Barcelona Academy of Art to other local artists.

He recently had a solo exhibition in Casemates in Gibraltar called ''Day and Night'' which attracted a lot of attention and

interest. Recently, he was commissioned by a catholic church in Rome to paint an image of Jesus in the style of the Turin

Shroud.
